In case the volumetric weight of your shipment is greater than the actual one, the charge is based on the volumetric weight, which is calculated in kilograms if we multiply the 3 dimensions of the package (length, width, height, measured in centimeters) and divide by a) 5,000, in the DOOR-TO- DOOR and FPC services and b) 5,000, in the SPM service.

Note: Volumetric weight does not apply to EMS service.

People with disabilities are served as a matter of priority from the transaction boxes of the post & courier offices and in each post & courier office there is a sign in a visible place of the transaction area which reads ‘PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (PWD) ARE SERVED AS A PRIORITY’.

In areas where distribution is provided by a distributor with a specific route, on certain days and times of the week the Company makes every effort to ensure that elderly or disabled persons, who cannot go to the predetermined distribution point, are served at their home. The necessary supporting documents, which prove the inability of persons with disabilities to move, are those provided by the applicable legislation and submitted to the Company.

ELTA SA treats people with disabilities (PWDs) with sensitivity, trying to facilitate them within the framework of its operational capabilities and in accordance with the provisions of the law and the Ministerial Decisions as applicable from time to time, regarding the conditions for providing the Universal Service.

ELTA SA is obliged to ensure the best possible access and service to people with disabilities, as long as this is allowed by the conditions of the transaction area and within the framework of the Company's regulations.

To receive a receipt in case you paid by cash on delivery, you will have to provide your details to our distributor, and you will receive the receipt electronically in your email. Or you can send us an email to info@elta-courier.gr with your details and the complete details of the shipment to receive the receipt electronically in your email.
You will find the detailed list of items that we do not undertake the transport and handling of on the page of each service (DOOR-DOOR, Express Mail Service, Special Priority Mail, Fast Parcel Cyprus).
Every shipment that falls under the General Terms of Service and is handled by the company in Greece is insured* for the loss or destruction of an item up to the amount of €50.00 if it is documents, and up to the amount of €100.00 if it is parcels. In addition, there is also the possibility of insurance through the DOOR-TO-DOOR Declared Value service. Additional Insurance & Declared Value services are also offered with the Special Priority mail (SPM) service to contract customers.
* The sums of money mentioned are given as compensation only in cases of proven culpability of the company and not e.g. in cases of force majeure, strikes, etc.

Our couriers make a total of two delivery attempts for each shipment. After receiving the 1st notice, please contact your local courier service store to schedule delivery of the shipment. If you have already received two notices, you will need to contact your local courier service store to collect your shipment from there, or schedule a new delivery, which may incur an additional charge.
